Consumption-based emissions
The consumption-based emissions approach is a reporting method that calculates all the greenhouse gases emitted through the production, transportation, use and disposal of products and services within a city over the course of a defined time period.
This includes the use and disposal of imported products, but excludes emissions from products and services that are exported for consumption outside the city's boundary.
