Emission factors
Emission factors describe the amount of CO2e that is emitted in the work done per activity - per kWh, tonne km, tonne or m2 housing.
Here are some examples of emission factors:
- Petrol (242 g CO2e/kWh)
- Heat pumps for warming houses (25 g CO2e/kWh)
- Waste recycling (21 g CO2e/tonne)
The emissions can be calculated by using the Emission factor (example diesel) * Operations (number of diesel cars) * Energy intensity (of a diesel motor).
